
Hewlett-Packard is out with a brand new Mini netbook PC that is targeted especially at students and mobile professionals. Dubbed as the HP Mini 5101, this stylish machine offers a 10.1-inch diagonal LED display (WSVGA or HD resolution), an Intel Atom processor, a 2GB RAM, a 7,200 RPM hard drive, an optional 128GB SSD, a spill-resistant keyboard, a 2.0MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a choice of either 4 or 6 cell battery. Gateway today introduced the LT3100 netbook, the company’s first with a productivity-boosting high-definition 11.6-inch display. Weighing at only 3.14 pounds and measuring about an inch thick, the Gateway LT3100 sports a 1.2GHz Athlon 64 L110 processor, an integrated ATI Radeon X1270 graphics card, a WXGA resolution display, a 2GB RAM and a 250GB HDD. Other features include a memory card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity, an integrated webcam, three USB 2.0 ports and a 6-cell Li-ion battery. Asus has finally made the Eee PC 1101HA official. The 11.6-inch netbook features a 1,366 x 768 resolution display, an Intel Atom Z520 1.3GHz processor, a 11-hour battery life, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 1GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. Via Liliputing

BenQ has added a new member to its Joybook Lite lineup with the introduction of U121 Eco that sports an 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 pixel. So let’s check out the rest of the specs: a low power Intel Atom Z520/Z530 processor, a Mobile Intel Polsbo US15W Express chipset, an Intel GMA500 graphics, a full sized keyboard, up to 500GB HDD, up to 32GB SSD, an Ethernet port, 3 USB ports, optional Bluetooth and HSUPA connectivities, a choice of either Windows XP home or Linpus Linux Lite OS and a 3 cell battery. Pricing and availability are still unknown at the moment.

Psion PLC, consumer harware company that had a product called a netBook many years ago, have withdrawn its trademark claim after reaching some sort of “amicable settlement” with Intel. They agreed to not seek damages from any companies that have already used the netbook name, who are using it presently, or who may use it in future.

Fujitsu is back with their new netbook namely the M2010. This mini laptop is equipped with a 10.1-inch WSVGA LED backlit display, an Intel Atom N270 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, an integrated webcam, Windows XP Home OS, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 3-cell battery. NEC just introduced two new members from its LaVie Light netbook series. Known as the LaVie Light BL300 and BL100, both netbooks come with Wi-Fi, and a 10.1-inch LCD with LED backlight. The BL100 is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU and a 16GB SSD, meanwhile the BL300 features an Intel Atom N280 CPU with an option of 160GB HDD or a 16GB SSD. HP just released three netbooks to its HP Mini series in the form of the
HP Mini 1101, 110 XP, and 110 Mi. All of these netbooks feature a 10.1-inch widescreen LED, autosync software for easier connectivity to your primary PC, and the standard 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 / 1.66GHz N280 processor options with GMA 950 graphics, VGA output, 3 or 6 cell batteries, and Wi-Fi. The Mini 110 XP model comes with a 1GB RAM, a choice of 160GB HDD or 32GB SSD, and a Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator, which is good for 1080p video playback. The Lenovo IdeaPad S12 is claimed to be the most powerful 12-inch netbook in the world because of its nVidia Ion chipset. The IdeaPad S12 can play 1080p HD content at full speed on its 12-inch display or an HDTV (via HDMI). Other specs include a WXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution LED-backlit panel, Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom CPU, a 1GB of DDR2 memory, 160/250/320GB HDD options, an optional 6-cell battery, Ethernet jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, three USB 2.0 ports, an ExpressCard slot, a 4-in-1 card reader and VGA / HDMI outputs. Lenovo is said to announce their first ION-based netbook tomorrow. However, not much info is given at the moment, but from what we heard, the system will sport either a 1.6GHz N270 or a 1.66 GHz N280 Intel Atom CPU, a 12-inch display, an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics and a 1080p HD video playback.
