As the debate and confusion on exactly -what- a netbook is nowadays, Gizmodo has posted a short article via the Korean news network Aving on the release of a mini-netbook from Korean manufacturer UMID. And if you look at it (pictured right), you’ll see just how small it is! It boasts a 4.8-inch 1024×600 touchscreen and a jaw-droppingly stunning design that makes you (okay, me) just want to run out and buy it.
Inside it has a 1.33GHz Atom processor, 1GB of memory, and up to 32GB of SSD storage, while also featuring Korean wireless broadband WiBro, digital TV receivers, HSDPA, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. OS options are Vista, XP, and Linux, and the weight of the whole thing is a mere 315 grams or just over half a pound.
There is no word on pricing of this thing or even whether it will be available outside of Korea. At a guess by looking at it, I’d say it won’t be a cheap acquisition, but certainly something lovers of small, easy-to-carry computers will want to look twice at.

I wonder how well the touch screen works as the only input device — special Windows/Linux drivers? And is it multi-touch?
