Pocket Lint in the UK has word of yet another run-of-the-mill netbook release in the form of Packard Bell’s dot (not the Eastenders character). The most novel part of the design, which features an 8.9-inch screen, is fittingly a red dot. Otherwise, everything is fairly standard and normal with a typical Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive.
Enticing options are a 6-cell battery for longer runs and an internal 3G modem. No word on pricing or international availability on the XP-charged model yet, but it should retail at around £315 (US$475).
