Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping day of the year in the United States, and this year netbooks marked their arrival to the party by dominating the bestsellers list at Amazon.com. Seven of the top ten spots were taken by netbooks, with Asustek’s Eee PC 8.9-inch netbooks taking the two top spots, but only after a fierce challenge from Acer’s Aspire One 8.9-inch model.

With the economy struggling and people more conscious of spending this season, netbooks are more than ever offering a good, cheaper alternative to the pricier laptops and desktops we all know and love.
