Famous French luggage maker Goyard is advertising luxurious netbook sleeves in the new edition of Vogue. When you hear the term “netbook sleeve”, the image you get is probably similar to mine – something similar to a laptop case, an affordable protective measure for your netbook.

If that is your thought, prepare to get blown away and if you still follow my mindset, perhaps even disgusted when you consider the way things are in the world right now economically. Goyard is offering these sleeves for a ludicrous $830. $830! You could get two good netbooks for that price, but apparently we’re supposed to be tempted to pay double for protective sleeves.

Anyone plan to get one then?
