We posted a little over a month ago about the rather cute BenQ Joybook Lite U101 netbook being launched across Asia, and now, according to Joanna Stern at Laptop Magazine, it is set to immigrate to the U.S. with a release planned this quarter.
The U101 features a 10.1-inch screen with an LED backlight and 1280 x 800 resolution. Atom-powered with an Intel 1.6GHz processor, it also comes with 1GB of RAM, and has options of 120GB or 160GB hard drives, 4GB or 16GB SSDs, and 3-cell or 6-cell batteries. It will retail in the States for $499, the same price as in Asia.
