Lenovo H200 desktop, an overgrown netbook… or not

As you probably all know, the Intel Atom processor powers most netbooks and has become synonymous with the genre. But now the processor is heading to desktops, with Lenovo launching its H200 desktop featuring the Atom.

Designed for consumers on a budget, of which there are many right now with the credit crunch, it is being marketted as a “low cost and high value PC” that has modest specs much like a netbook, but lets you do the basics – web surfing, email, messengers, and basic computer applications.

What sets it apart from a netbook, other than the size (duh), is that it comes bundled with a ThinkVision L195 Wide LCD monitor. The price is also very reasonable at $400, which puts it in a similar bracket as many netbooks, so this machine may appeal to some bargain hunters.
