Samsung joins the Valentine’s Day netbook craze

“Oh my God, not again!”. Sorry guys, but I have to report another limited edition netbook ready to hit shelves for Valentine’s Day. This comes just two days after we announced the release of a Valentine Edition MSI Wind U100.

The next in line to cash in on the highly commercialized Valentine’s Day is Samsung, who according to this post at Liliputing are preparing to launch a pink model of the NC10 netbook. Scheduled for a February 10th release, the cutesy addition to the NC10 series isn’t being specifically billed as a Valentine’s Day edition on its product page but the timing of the release fools no one.

dabs.com has it listed at £315 (US$433), while overclockers.co.uk is asking for £327 (US$450).

Other than the pink paint job, there is nothing especially “Valentine” about this — no “My Valentine” USB flash drive like you get with MSI’s new release — and the specs are the same as a usual NC10 with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and the usual additions.
