ASUS Eee PC S101H and 1002HA netbooks hit Japan

The ASUS Eee PC S101H and 1002HA netbooks will hit shelves in Japan this Saturday, reports Akihabara News.

The 1002HA is already on shelves in the U.S. having been launched in December at $499 (now $429 at Amazon), but the S101H isn’t being released Stateside.

The S101H is the same as the S101 except that it boasts a hard drive instead of a solid state drive (SSD), explaining the easy-to-miss “H” on the end. According to Portable Monkey the S101 will retail for about 64,800 yen ($728), $50 less than what the regular S101 cost when launched in Japan.
