AT&T stores to offer netbooks

AT&T will soon start stocking netbooks, according to Laptop Magazine.

The company has been sending out a survey quizzing customers and have now decided that they will offer netbooks in the near future. The idea is that you will pay full retail price for one unless you sign a mobile broadband service contract, in which case the netbook price could drop low — really low, as low as $99.

There is no word yet on when this will start but Glenn Lurie, president of emerging devices and resale for AT&T Mobility and consumer markets, confirmed it in his interview with Laptop Magazine.
