Workhorse PC to release the Certeza MC10 netbook

Workhorse PC is the latest company coming in for a slice of the ever so delicious netbook cake. The Texas-based company is best known for making notebooks for schools and the government but is now about to release its own netbook called the Certeza MC10.

The MC10’s under construction website suggests it will be configurable online, and the vice president of Workhorse PC has said there will be a number of different configs available for buy: a $399 Linux version, a $449 Windows XP Home version, and a $549 Windows Vista Business version. 4-cell and 6-cell batteries will also be offered.

The standard specs include a 10.1-inch display (1024 x 600 resolution), a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, ExpressCard and 4-in-1 card reader slots, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, the usual wireless goodies (802.11b/g, Bluetooth, WiMax, WLAN).

Availability and release dates have yet to be revealed.

I must say as well, I never really much cared for Dell products, but every time I see something new released on here I can’t help but be distracted by it’s innate prettiness! They keep it up, I might actually buy something! I figure by the time I ever have the cash (bad credit woohoo!) they should have some pretty decent stuff!
