Meet the UMTS version of ASUS’ Eee PC T91 or the “T91GO”, same as the original version, except it comes with a quadband 3G HSPA modem in addition to the usual WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth offerings. This was spotted at CeBIT this morning and adds another option to the Eee PC range that ASUS is in the process of downsizing.
Besides the enticement of a 3G HSPA modem, the netbook will otherwise be the same as the normal T91, no doubt with a heftier price tag. Powered by the Intel Atom Z520 and 1GB of RAM, the T91GO is an 8.9-inch netbook (remember, ASUS said they are axing their 8.9-inch range, and if that goes ahead, these must be exceptions) that also comes with a 16GB SSD paired with a 16GB SD card, dual USB ports, and a battery good for about 5 hours on a charge.
Pricing and availability for the “GO” is as yet unknown.
