ASUS officially launched its super-thin netbook, the Eee PC 1008HA, at CeBIT earlier today. Previously known as the “Shell”, this 10-incher is extremely lightweight and small at just 1-inch in thickness and 1.1kg in weight.
The official press release calls it the “embodiment of refined mobile computing” and highlights the Eee Docking application bar that provides one-click access to a full suite of exclusive software like Eee Sharing (file sharing) and Eee Arena (multimedia).
The keyboard on the 1008HA is nicely sized despite the diminutive size of the netbook as a whole, 92% the size of a standard keyboard in fact. Other features are the multitouch trackpad, 1.3-megapixel webcam, and the usual connectivity companions (WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth).
