MSI has a couple of new netbooks on show at CeBIT, one an upgrade on an old favorite and one an upcoming release with a slight change. The popular MSI Wind U100 is the first to talk about as it is on show with a slight upgrade and the name “U100 Plus”. Everything is pretty much the same as the standard U100 with the exception of the processor, which is now a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 instead of the older N270 chip we’re used to.
The MSI Wind U110 has been known about for a while now and is also on display but is now called the “MSI Wind U110 Eco”. The Eco will use Intel’s Atom Z530 rather than the N2*0 series and will sport a 6-cell battery for 8 to 10 hours of use. The webcam previously thought to be 1.3-megapixels, will now be 2-megapixels instead.
