They don&#8217;t offer a huge amount of space, with 4GB and 8GB storage options available, but they will let you store some of your files or even install an alternate OS on them.</p>
<p><a href="http://netbooklounge.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/buffalo_ssd_dell_inspiron_mini_2.jpg"><img src="http://netbooklounge.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/buffalo_ssd_dell_inspiron_mini_2-300x159.jpg" alt="" title="buffalo_ssd_dell_inspiron_mini_2" width="300" height="159" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-240" /></a>Buffalo recently revealed similar releases for the ASUS Eee PC, but with 32GB and 64GB options, while Dell have their own 32GB SSD option for the Inspiron Mini 9 that can be added to a new order for $100. In comparison, Buffalo&#8217;s new standalone releases will cost $57 for the 16GB SSD or $101 for the 32GB SSD, basically pricing it the same as Dell&#8217;s new order upgrade option.</p>

Dell is offering the 32GB SSD upgrade for just $100, meaning the base model plus the new option comes to just $449, an excellent deal.</p>
